AutoCAD - Download |
Welcome to my Down Load area for AutoCAD. Here you will find some basic Components, Symbols or Blocks that have been with me through Generic CADD, then Cadvance and have now finally found their way into AutoCAD.
Most of these here are my own work. There are a few that I have added too, with additional freeware Blocks from Cadalog & Cadshack etc.
The lisp routines have been downloaded from various sources, these are routines that I've found useful and would consider as basic requirements. There are many more on the CADALOT's AutoCAD® Utilities CD Rom Collection See below for details. |

The Adobe PDF files
Freeware and Shareware available for free download or purchase from Charles Sweeney's superb site at http://www.hatchpatterns.com
Charles granted me permission to create separate *.pat files from his acad.pat to use as custom pat files. I’ve also created the *.sld files encase for some reason you did not want to replace the default acad.pat & acad.sld files
An Adobe PDF file showing the 89 of the 100 hatch patterns included in Hatcher1.zip by Morris Sharp. His software was shareware in 1994 and was created for AutoCAD R10,11 & 12.
11 files are not R14 or 2000 compatible.
A collection of 56 AutoCAD hatch patterns. On Caddepot this software is not categorised as Freeware or Shareware. There is no contact address available on Caddepot or in the zip file.
There is also no indication as to who compiled this collection or originally posted it to shareware libraries. The individual *.pat files date from 1980 – 1992. There are a large amount by Watson Kilbourne. There are also a lot that originated for TIP### at CADalyst.
The 46 AutoCAD hatch patterns included in this file were created by Raymond V Brandes in 1988. He created them with a package he co-authored called Pattern Maker. Five of these patterns are not AutoCAD R14 or 2000 compatible.
The hatch patterns are supplied as individual *.pat files to be used as custom hatch patterns or added to the acad.pat or acadiso.pat files.

The file mele.zip can be found on the http://www.cadalog.com website amongst others.
A collection of 11 hatch patterns from Italy for AutoCAD R14 and higher by an unknown author. There is no accompanying text or read me file with this zip. This file is classified as freeware on most sites.
Download mele2.zip which contains 11 individual pat files for use as Custom Hatch Patterns and Slide files *.sld if you want to add these patterns to you acad.pat or acadis
The zip file contains 54 AutoCAD tile individual hatch patterns *.pat and slides *.sld which date back to 1992. Author unknown
There is no other documentation included in the zip file apart from a rss.com file which is an advert for Rolling Stock Software a division of KanataCAD BBS
These files needed modifying to enable the user to load as Custom Hatch Patterns, The file name should be the same as the description header, well now they are. I’ve also created the slide *.sld files for them download tile_hat2.zip.

A collection of 30 Arabesque Patterns that contains high quality Arabic and Islamic designs for use with the AutoCAD Hatch command, for AutoCAD R14 and higher. Designed by Fayed Qweis of Arabesque Software Company Copyright © 1992
This is a shareware program, if you use it, a payment of $49.00 would be appreciated.

FREEWARE - Details to be added
A large collection (213) of Hatch Patterns by BASS Engineering that have been compiled from many of the Freeware hatch patterns listed above. However there is no acknowledgement of the sources used or original Authors in the acad.pat provided.
In the Adobe reference file I’ve corrected this, where I have been able established a source for the individual hatch pattern. i.e. the 54 patterns from tile_hat collection and over 100 from freehatch.zip are in there.

Just a few very useful Lisp routines...... Many more on my CD-Collection
Command Line Lisp Routines |
Lisp routine that provides Generic Cadd Commands within AutoCAD. Author Alan James Wooldridge (AKA Cadalot)
Drawing Lisp Routines |
Or |
The purpose of this routine is to allow the user to pick points and have the coordinates written as entities to the drawing at each point as picked. To Run:- At the command line, type (load "c:/lispdir/crdbypck") where c:/ is the drive where CRDBYPCK.lsp is contained lispdir/ is the directory or folder where CRDBYPCK.lsp is contained
This routine will produce a cut tube symbol on parallel lines, prompting the user to select two lines. Other options are prompted.
This routine draws thermal insulation; the user specifies the start and end of the insulation then the thickness. |
FREEHAND.lsp (c) Copyright 2000 TimeSavers for CAD from http://www.timesaversforcad.com
This lisp routine modifies lines and polylines to appear as if drawn freehand. Two things occur:
1. Corners are given slight overlap. 2. Lines are given slight "wiggle" to them.
User can specify degree of both overlap & wiggle [1 small - 5 large, 0-none] Accomplished by first lengthening each line, then replacing line with LWPOLYLINE(R14) or POLYLINE(<R14) and adding slightly offset vertices.
Ensure that you only FREEHAND a Copy of your elevation, once run there is no way back ! Keep your original drawing safe.
Editing Lisp Routines |
This routine can be called by typing one of three commands at the command prompt.
All three commands will ask the user to select to corners of a rectangle. This Lisp routine was loaded of the web and modified to add the Cadvance macro name. It should be noted that this AutoCAD lisp is not as clean as the Cadvance versions.
The first command, SCB or BIGTRIMB, will erase and trim all entities outside of the rectangle and leave a polyline border.
The second command, SC or BIGTRIM, will erase and trim all entities outside of the rectangle but will not leave a border.
The final command, SCD or RECTRIM, will erase and trim all entities inside of the rectangle and will not leave a border.
xyz scaling of selected entities. This routine gives that same functionality as the CADVANCE scale command.
Block Lisp Routines |
This little routine will let you designate a target path and automatically wblock all the blocks in your drawing.
Layer Lisp Routines |
This AutoLISP routine will export a drawing's layer table to .CSV (Comma Separated Values) format that can be opened up directly within Microsoft Excel (or any text editor if you don't have Excel). The layer name, colour, linetype, and frozen / thawed status are exported as well as column headings and the full drawing file name
